March celebrates International Women’s Day and as we continue to celebrate the achievements of women across the globe, this year’s theme Accelerate Action reminds us of how far we have come in overcoming the barriers and bias about the perimenopause and menopause, particularly in the workplace.
Overcoming these barriers has been a topic close to our hearts at Medical Prime as we endeavour to support and empower women to reach their full potential through the care we provide. Our campaigns continue to raise awareness through workplace presentations, in supporting women’s groups and ‘speaking up for you’ at healthcare conferences.
One such conference I am pleased to have the opportunity to speak at, is the forthcoming OSI Dry Eye Masterclass & Symposium in London. Supporting the theme, ‘Beyond the Drops: Nutrition, Menopause & Science’ I will be addressing the subject of ‘HRT in Menopause: Pros & Cons’ to attending professionals in optometry and ophthalmology.
I am also very excited to have been invited to speak about Menopause in Primary Care in my home country, Greece. At the 37th Panhellenic Conference of General Practice, the topic of Menopause has been included for the first time and offers a fantastic opportunity for sharing of experiences and practices in both countries.
Do continue to follow us on all our social media platforms (as below) to get further updates of these events.
Meanwhile, we thank-you for your reviews on Doctify which continue to be invaluable to the clinic and our doctors. Reviews are essential for our work and you can send your anonymous feedback easily via the link doctify.com/uk/review/Medical Prime or use your smartphone if you have been given a Doctify card.
On a final note, I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure our patients that we continue to work with suppliers regarding the shortages of Estradot patches and to ensure you are offered the next best alternative when necessary.
