Speaking with Dr Theodora Kalentzi, Juliana and Stuart share their story of their menopause journey.
Juliana “I lost my identity. I lost the feeling of being a woman, of having any sexual urges, or being female. I just was a thing, nothing else but a thing. It was the worst time of my life, but I truly thought I’d rather shorten my life than live like this.”
Juliana “From the minute I met you, from the minute .. I walked into the office, you truly saved my life. I had very little hope when I went in…. and when you said to me I can help you, I honestly nearly fell off the chair!”
Stuart “I saw those elements of my wife previously .. creeping back in and I thought great. You know things are moving forward now. But I think for, for me …. as a husband or a partner, you have to be there, supporting your wife or partner, in that journey.”
Juliana “We don’t have to suffer this. It’s not part of life. It’s not part of our .. next stage in our lives. We are entitled to have this and we need to find people like you to help people like me.”
Stuart “There’s hope. There, there, always is hope .. there is support. ..”
