Keeping you informed as we celebrate World Menopause Day, 18 October

What a way to welcome in autumn and October, with Menopause Awareness Month, and on18th October, World Menopause Day. This is an internationally recognised event established in 2009 by the International Menopause Society (IMS) in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to break taboo and raise awareness of menopause.

At Medical Prime (UK), we work tirelessly throughout the year to help improve your health and wellbeing, as well as raise awareness of premature menopause, perimenopause and menopause and particularly how it affects women in the workplace.

In September, I was honoured to meet with the Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman Michael Mainelli (pictured), to thank him personally for his support for women in the workplace and share my recent article ‘The perimenopause and menopause in the workplace’ within ‘Business Matters’ the magazine of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We were pleased to have an interactive discussion on the work of Medical Prime (UK), the only specialised menopause clinic in the City of London.

Throughout the year, we have been delighted to receive positive feedback on how our informative videos play their role in continuing to raise awareness, so do keep checking our Social Media platforms. In our latest video, Dr. Niki Davies and I pick out three of the less well-known symptoms of the Menopause. If palpitations, dry-eyes and bladder symptoms are troubling you, do watch here medicalprime-3 less well-known symptoms with Dr Kalentzi and Dr Niki.

Keeping abreast with the latest evidence and best practice is cornerstone for our clinic and care and I am looking forward to attending the International Menopause Society Conference on 19th October in Melbourne, Australia!

Last but not least, your feedback and opinions are invaluable in helping others who are looking for high quality specialist menopause care, and for us to reflect on our care and services. As always, we would be grateful for your anonymous feedback on the Doctify portal. You can do this easily via the link doctify.com/uk/review Medical Prime or do ask for one of our Doctify cards at the Clinic. Please check for the verification text to ensure the post is published. To those of you who have posted reviews already, a big thank you for your time and thoughts.

Happy Menopause Awareness Month!
