It’s been a whole year since the pandemic started affecting our lives in ways that no-one could have imagined. We can now start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. There is definitely a positive vibe coming from you whether we meet at the clinic or through our digital consultations. You told me how difficult January and February had been, how lonely some of you felt and how you blamed yourself.
You are not alone and it’s not you! Whether you battled home schooling, unwell loved ones, relentless Zoom/Team meetings or troubled relationships, you’ve done amazingly well in these extraordinary circumstances. I have been so inspired and motivated by you; this should not be just my privilege.
Please consider sharing your stories. Let’s learn from each other, so that no woman feels alone in her journey into the menopause and beyond. We are very excited to introduce our new webpage https://www.medicalprime.co.uk/patient-stories/ where we can post your stories and experiences.
In the meantime, I try my best to keep promoting awareness of the menopause and its impact on all aspects of life and, in particular, the workplace. Earlier this year I worked with a fantastic team from IHS Markit who helped deliver such sessions to their workforce worldwide.
The time has come to look with optimism into the future. March is the month when we celebrated International Women’s Day, when the days are getting longer and spring finally arrives.
The team and I are looking forward to supporting you in every way we can. We want to hear from you. Please feel free to contact Zarina at manager@medicalprime.co.uk. with your ideas, your stories and your feedback.
