We hope everyone has been keeping well and enjoying the summer. Over the last few months, we’ve been raising the bar in keeping the menopause conversation open. We are excited to announce that our couple’s video is now ‘live’ on our YouTube Channel. In a couple’s menopause journey husband and wife, Stuart and Juliana, offer a heartfelt story as they share the highs and lows of a menopause journey experienced together.
Furthermore, my recent article ‘The perimenopause and menopause in the workplace’ made it into the July/August edition of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry ‘Business Matters’ magazine. Please follow this link to read the article in full and select page 52: London Business Matters July/Aug.
It is encouraging that support in the workplace is increasingly becoming a key topic of discussion at Menopause events although there is still a way to go. I was pleased to speak on this topic alongside Professor Elinor Sawyer, Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of breast cancer, at the Imperial Women’s Alumni Network event. Recently, our very own Dr. Niki represented the Clinic at the annual British Menopause Society Conference where sessions covered the role of organisations in supporting their staff.
We have also been looking at different aspects of how the menopause may impact on women’s overall health and I was honoured to deliver a presentation ‘Dry Eye & Menopause’ within the Scientific Programme of the International Society of Dacryology and Dry Eye (ISD-DE) Congress.
Our status as the City of London’s specialist menopause clinic puts us in a fantastic position to be part of several City-led events. We have also welcomed several esteemed guests to the clinic recently including The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Michael Mainelli and City Swordbearer, Tim Rolph.
For more stories and informative videos about premature menopause, perimenopause and menopause we invite you to check out our Social Media platforms. In her latest video, Dr. Ash highlights Premature Ovarian Insufficiency while Dr. Niki discusses Hot Flushes.
As always, your feedback and opinions are invaluable in helping us to understand your experience at the clinic while also helping others who are looking for high quality specialist menopause care.
